Work Hours formula is the best option for organizations that evaluate utilization without requiring employees to meet a specific number of work hours.

To set or modify the utilization formula, the admin can go to Settings → Utilization card.

Selecting what are productive activities

Admin can customize which activities are considered productive, tailoring the calculation to their specific needs. The sum of these activities serves as the numerator in the utilization formula.

Understanding work expectations

With the Work Hours formula, there is no predefined work expectation set by an admin to calculate the utilization score percentage. Instead, this formula dynamically determines the work expectations (denominator) by taking all the time between an employee’s first clock-in and last clock-out of the day, including clocked breaks and all inactivity aka idle time.

N/A applies across all utilization scenarios.

For example: in the Work Hours scenario, if an employee has 0 Work Hours in the selected period, their utilization will show as N/A.
