Desktop app: clock-in stuck on "Please wait, verifying device integrity"
This message appears on the desktop widget when clocking in, not in your web browser - the browser cache steps above do not apply to it.
If the message doesn't clear after a minute or two, this is most commonly caused by an unstable or interrupted internet connection. Try the following, in order:
Disconnect and reconnect your internet connection (Wi-Fi or ethernet) to force a fresh sync, then try clocking in again.
If you're using a VPN - especially over a mobile/cellular connection - temporarily disable it and try again. A VPN running on an unstable connection can cause brief, repeated disconnects that this message doesn't recover from on its own, and can also cause worked time to be logged as Idle even while actively working (see Idle time).
Reinstall the Insightful desktop app if the message still persists.
Still stuck? Contact us via chat or support@insightful.io with your OS and whether you're using a VPN, so we can check your agent logs.
