December Product Updates: Advancing Workforce Analytics, One Step at a Time

At Insightful, our product evolution is guided by a simple goal: helping you move from visibility into work to clarity about how work actually happens, and how to improve it.

This month’s updates continue that journey. Across the platform, we’ve focused on improving data quality, deepening analytical insight, and reducing friction for teams operating at scale. Here’s what’s new and what it means for you.


📊 Workforce Analytics

You’ll notice an important change this month: Workforce Management is now Workforce Analytics. This rename reflects a broader shift in Insightful’s direction, from tracking activity to delivering meaningful insights about time, collaboration, and productivity. As part of that evolution, we’ve continued investing in the accuracy and completeness of the data that powers your reports.

Calendar Integrations now available on all plans

We shipped a major set of improvements to our Calendar Integrations in December, making meeting data more accurate, resilient, and easier to manage across Google and Outlook Calendars.

What’s new

  • Improved meeting sync rules

    Meetings that overlap with break time or manually added time are now imported into Insightful. Any idle time during these meetings is converted into passive meeting time, giving managers a more accurate view of how time is actually spent.

  • Time Off awareness

    Meetings scheduled on days marked as a full day off in Insightful are no longer synced, as employees are not expected to work on those days.

  • Improved reliability and reconnection flow

    If a calendar connection expires or becomes invalid due to permission changes, admins can now easily reconnect without losing data.

⚡ Workflow Optimization

Automatic Time Tracking for Salesforce Support - Beta Release

This integration expands our automated time mapping platform for teams using Salesforce Support to track support workflows. This release enhances how support related work is captured and attributed. It connects the activities tracked by Insightful with case data from Salesforce Support. This helps teams better understand activities spent across cases and get true case handle time.

🔄 Agent Experience

Single Sign-On (SSO) Support

Our latest enterprise-grade enhancement brings Single Sign-On (SSO) to the Insightful Desktop Agent, delivering a seamless and secure authentication experience across the entire platform. Employees can now sign in to the Desktop Agent using the same credentials as for the Insightful web dashboard, powered by SAML-based identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and others.
