Learn how to add and set up Client user role to give your clients access to data and insights related to projects they hired your team to do

The Client user role is there for you to be able to provide your client with an insight into the project they hired your team to do.

Adding Client users

Below are the steps for Admins to add a Client user role to their Insightful account:

  1. Go to Settings β†’ User management on the Sidebar,

  2. Navigate to the Clients tab,

  3. Click on the Add New User button,

  4. Choose the option +Client,

  5. On the new client window that pops up, insert the name and email of the user you will be assigning the Client user role,

  6. Select the user's viewing scope - project or projects that the user will have viewing access to, and hit Save,

  7. Client user will receive an email from Insightful with further instructions.

Users with Client user roles will use their login credentials to view projects on https://app.insightful.io.

Managers, Admins, and Clients do not need to have Insightful installed on their computers in order to log in and view data, and as such they do not add towards billable license count.

Scope

A Client user role's only scope is a project for which they need to see the progress flow, time, attendance and productivity data of the employees assigned to it.
