Employee Attendance Notifications, when set up, provide Admins and Managers with valuable and timely insights into their team's attendance and punctuality. They address late arrivals to the scheduled shifts, missed clock-ins, and entirely missed shifts, enabling managers to stay informed about their employees' work time and take immediate action if needed, which helps maintain coverage, productivity, and efficiency within the organization.

To monitor the above-mentioned parameters, you can set up Notifications for the changes that interest you by going to Settings → Alerts → Shifts Scheduling.

Settings for Clock In/Out Notifications

To ensure precise monitoring of employee attendance and adherence to schedules, the following settings can be customized:

  • Earliest Clock In allows you to set how long before a scheduled shift employees can start their work, with a maximum value of 120 minutes.

  • Latest Clock Out lets you decide how long an employee is permitted to work after their scheduled shift, with a maximum value of 120 minutes.

  • Tolerance enables you to specify how much time can be lost for a shift to still be considered completed.

The previously mentioned settings are controlled by Admins, Managers don’t have access.

Notification Types

Insightful lets you receive notifications for missing shifts, late arrivals, and unstarted shifts, ensuring you have the information you need to manage your team effectively.

Absent Employees

Notifications can be configured to alert you about employee absences, with delivery options for in-app notifications or emails. If an Employee misses their entire shift, Admins or Managers will receive a notification after the shift is scheduled to end.

Notifications can be set up to inform you about employee late arrivals and no-shows. You have the ability to choose how many minutes after the Scheduled Shift starts you want to receive notifications (from 15 to 120 minutes) and delivery options for in-app notifications or emails. To set this up, go to Settings → Alerts → Shifts Scheduling. Then, choose the number of minutes you want to wait before receiving a notification.

Who can receive Notifications

Every Admin/Manager sets them up for themselves and for the employees and/or teams within their scope. Only the person who defined them will receive the notifications under those conditions. Managers can only see information about Absent Employees and Headcount.

You can pick if you want notifications in the app, by email or both. If you choose email, you'll get them within 10 minutes of the alert.
