The Customizable Homepage dashboard is the landing page in Insightful, giving Admins and Managers (for data on teams and employees within their scope) an at-a-glance overview of your workforce. It pulls together the most important metrics — utilization, productive time, real-time activity, and top/bottom performers, and many more — into a single personalized customizable view based on widgets, so you can quickly assess how your teams are doing and decide where to dig deeper.
Home dashboard helps spot patterns, catch issues early, and jump straight to the relevant detailed report with a single click.
This page is not available to users with Client and Employee roles.
Filtering Your Data
At the top of the page you'll find a date range filter that defines the period the dashboard reports on, shown alongside the comparison period it's being measured against (for example, This Month compared to Previous Month). The comparison period aligns automatically with the range you select.
Use the + Add Filter option to narrow the view down to specific Employees, Teams, or Org Groups, so the entire dashboard reflects only the people you care about.
Only teams and organizational groups within the user’s access scope are available for filtering.
Customizing and Exporting
Using the Download button in the upper-right corner, users can export the current dashboard view as a PDF document for reporting and sharing purposes.
Using the Customize button, you can choose which widgets to display on the dashboard:
You can also drag and rearrange widgets to prioritize the information most important to you.
Most widgets also have additional settings available from the more menu, accessible by clicking the three dots on the widget. These settings may include options such as adjusting the widget size or changing the sorting metric.
Any changes a Manager or Admin makes to the page layout, selected widgets, or widget metrics, will only affect their personal dashboard view and will not impact other users.
KPIs
This widget allows Admins to monitor the metrics most relevant to their organizational business needs as well as individual Managers to set up metrics relevant for team/s under their scope .
Users can display between 2 and 4 KPIs and choose whether to view them as Totals or Daily Averages from the following list:
Work Time
Productive Time
Unproductive Time
Utilization %
Idle Time
Break Time
Manual Time
Meeting Time
The Daily Average view is recommended for all metrics for easier performance tracking and trend analysis over time.
Utilization Trend
This chart plots a 30-Day Rolling Average against a configurable goal line, so you can see whether utilization is trending toward or away from your target over time.
The goal value can be adjusted directly on the widget and can’t be below 75%.
Additional widget options are available through the three-dot menu, where users can change the widget size (Medium or Large) or remove the widget from the dashboard.
Utilization Trend by Location
This chart plots a 30-Day Rolling Average against a configurable goal line, so you can compare how utilization is trending over time for days your employees worked from home, from office, or from both locations.
The goal value can be adjusted directly on the widget and can’t be below 75%.
Additional widget options are available through the three-dot menu, where users can change the widget size (Medium or Large) or remove the widget from the dashboard.
Top Performers & Needs attention
Top Performers widget helps identify 5 most hard working employees based on the selected performance metrics.
Needs Attention widget helps identify 5 employees who may require additional review based on selected performance metrics.
Users can customize how employees are ranked by choosing one of the following data views:
Average Productive Time per Day
Total Productive Time
Utilization %
Both widgets can be edited to adjust the ranking criteria at any time.
AI Adoption
This widget provides high-level insights from the AI Adoption report, allowing Managers and Admins to track adoption of most used tools on the organizational or team/s level. For this report we are grouping the web and desktop version of the tool into one entity.
Users can customize the metric used to rank AI tools:
Adoption Rate
Daily (average) AI Time
By default all insignificant AI usage, defined as less than 3 minutes per day per tool, is filtered out. This threshold can be adjusted.
Scheduled Adherence
This widget is useful only for companies that have teams for which shifts are scheduled on Insightful’s platform and utilization formula is set to Scheduled Hours.
The Schedule Adherence widget provides high-level insights from the Schedule Adherence report, allowing Managers and Admins to monitor attendance-related events and scheduling issues, such as late clock-ins or undertime shifts.
Most Used Apps & Websites
The Most Used Apps & Websites widget displays the applications and websites employees use most frequently during the selected reporting period.
Results can be filtered by activity classification:
Productive
Unproductive
Neutral
This helps managers better understand work habits on the team level.

Top Categories
The Top Categories widget groups applications and websites by category, providing a broader overview of how time is spent across top types of tools and activities.

Real-Time Insights
The Real-Time Insights widget provides a high level live overview of employee activity. This can help answer some operational questions. How many employees in the team are on a break? How many employees in the organization have already started their working day?
Users can choose which real-time metric to display, in order to get the most relevant information, this option is available on the widget level settings.
Employee Performance
This widget provides an employee-level overview of activities and timesheets. In addition to performance and time worked data, it gives Managers and Admins basic real-time visibility into current employee statuses, including Working, Absent, and Inactive.
This allows Managers and Admins to monitor historical performance and current activity in one place.
Good to Know
Widgets with an open-in-new icon next to their title link directly to the corresponding full report (Locations, Real-Time Insights,Schedule Adherence etc.), making the Home Page dashboard a fast jumping-off point for deeper analysis.
