Default Browser Setting

Learn the steps for setting a browser as default on your device

In order to ensure maximal functionality of the Insightful application, please make sure that your browser of choice is set as a default on your OS, since pages opened through Insightful installed on employees' computers will use the default browser. To do this, follow the steps below:

Windows OS

  1. Select Start → Settings → Apps → Default apps.

  2. Under Set defaults for applications, select the browser you want as the default.

  3. Next to the option to make it your default browser, select Set default.

macOS

Not sure which macOS version you have?

Open the Apple menu and select About This Mac. The window shows the macOS name and version number, for example macOS Ventura 13.7.

macOS 13 (Ventura) or later

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu → System Settings, then click Desktop & Dock in the sidebar.

  2. Scroll down on the right, click the Default web browser pop-up menu and choose the desired browser.

macOS 11 or 12

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu → System Preferences, then click General.

  2. Click the Default web browser pop-up menu and choose the desired browser.
