The process of updating Insightful on the device you are using is different depending on whether it's installed on your personal device or a company-owned device.
Company computers
To update the Insightful application on a company computer you will need to get the latest application installation file. But first you would want to check which version of Insightful is running on your device at the moment so for that purpose please use one of these guides:

Windows OS
The safest way for Admins to update Insightful on a device with Windows OS is to ensure they are downloading it directly from our platform.
Steps to update Insightful
Go to Employees β Add New Employees
Select the Company Computer option.
From here you can either:
Download Insightful
Use this option if you will download the installation file directly to USB or to it via an internal file sharing service.
βCopy & Paste Installation URL
Use this option if you need to share the Insightful Installation file with another member of your team, or even directly to employees.
After the Insightful download
Because you're updating Insightful (and not installing for the first time), you will want to follow the below listed steps.
For Administrators:
Allow https://app.workpuls.com, https://app.insightful.io, https://insightful-updates.io/ and https://storage.googleapis.com/ if there is an active Firewall.
For all employees:
Locate the Insightful Installation file on your computer (previously provided by your Admin),
Right click on the installation file,
Choose Repair,
After you have finished the Repair Process, please reboot your device and check the version of Insightful that is running (you can review one of the above listed guides for version checking).
Failed Update
If Repair option returns an error message or you don't see the version number updated, please run the installation regularly by double clicking the package to start the installer.

Uninstall the previous version
Download the new file and install it the same way

GPO in AD environment or in any Remote Desktop Protocol environment,
Through System Center using Script,
MacOS
Users of devices with MacOS will first need to uninstall the current Insightful version and then install the new one.
Personal computers
Users of personal devices (with Windows OS or macOS) will need to follow these steps to have the Insightful application updated:
Uninstall Insightful application from your device.
Download a new installation file from the following URL, to have the Insightful application installed again.
