Get the installation code

  1. Go to Employees Dashboard.

  3. Select Company Computers.

  4. Select macOS.

  5. Copy the code you see using Copy Code.

Install Insightful app on macOS through Terminal

  1. Paste the code into Terminal.

  2. Press Enter to run the code.

  3. Enter your macOS system admin password and press Enter.

  4. Wait while Insightful downloads and installs the app.

Password field will not reflect your input, it will remain blank. This is the default macOS feature. If the password is incorrectly entered, you will see the Sorry, try again message.

Allow Accessibility access permission

After the installation and background configuration, move on to ensuring proper functionality by allowing Accessibility access permission. Open System Preferences as prompted and follow the instructions below:

  1. Click Open System Preferences on the first popup after installation and background configuration is over. This will take you to Security & Privacy settings.

  2. If password protected, click the lock in the lower left part to authenticate first by entering your password.

  3. Under Accessibility, check the box next to the Insightful icon.

  4. Exit the window.

Allow Insightful to web browser

  1. First time every web browser is running on your mac after installing Insightful, a prompt will pop up to allow access to the browser's data.

  2. Click OK.

After installing and allowing access, Insightful is ready to be used and the employee will automatically appear on Admin dashboards and their data will start to be tracked.
