This month's updates focus on personalization, a more resilient macOS Agent, and a cleaner experience across Settings and Workflow Optimization.

📊 A Refreshed Workflow Optimization Experience
This month we introduced Workflow Optimization: our new process intelligence module that maps your company processes end-to-end to help you discover, improve and automate work that matters. The product is now in beta.
Purpose-built for any company that is looking to improve key process metrics, Workflow Optimization is being used by major companies to drive bottom line efficiency with outcomes ranging from improved handle times, proven automation ROI, increased CSAT, and reduced time waste by employees.
Workflow Optimization pages were refreshed throughout July with an updated design across the workflow list, employee, task, session, and settings views, including better spacing, typography, and table layouts.
Workflow paths at a glance
Typical flow charts now fit on screen with far less scrolling, step timings show the average time per step, and workflow detail pages show clear messages when there is no recorded activity yet.
Smarter filters and reliable data handling
Case Type, Product, Sub-Product, and Record Type filters refresh automatically as new enrichment data arrives, configuration changes apply without a page refresh, Workflow Records pagination stays reliable, and Salesforce parent and child case handling is more robust.
⚙️ A Stronger, More Transparent macOS Agent
The Insightful Agent on macOS received a series of upgrades in July focused on reliability, privacy, and transparency.
Permission requirements before clock-in
Admins can now enable an optional setting that blocks clock-in on macOS until employees grant the required system permissions. This makes missing-permission data gaps visible and actionable before tracking starts, instead of discovering them in your reports later.
Organization visibility for employees
The Agent now always displays the organization name at the top of its window, so employees who belong to multiple organizations always know which organization their time is recorded under.
Self-healing tracking
The Agent now detects when tracking freezes or silently stops and recovers on its own, reducing gaps in activity data. If Agent files go missing or an installation is interrupted, it restores itself from a local backup instead of re-downloading everything, and stealth installations start reporting right away with no device restart needed.
Stronger privacy and performance
URLs no longer appear in local device logs, log files are no longer visible to device users, and memory and performance improvements keep the Agent running smoothly over long sessions.
🧭 Redesigned Settings
The Settings page has a cleaner layout that makes it faster to find what you need, with a new notification center bell and clearer card names like Productivity Labeling, Utilization Formula(s), and Organization Profile.
Dedicated Billing and Integrations cards
Billing settings are now organized into Subscriptions, Invoices, and Billing Address cards, and integration settings into Org Chart, Data Warehouse, Project Management, and Calendar cards. Each user sees only the sections relevant to their role.
Admin-managed email address updates
Organization admins can now update employee and user email addresses directly, without waiting for an end-user confirmation link. Built-in safety checks block changes when the account does not belong to your organization or the new email does not match your SSO domain.
⏱️ New Time Format Options
You can now choose how time is displayed across the platform and reports. From your personal settings, pick between the classic H:MM style and a more readable H h M m S s style, and shorter values are shown automatically when appropriate.
Consistent everywhere you look
Alongside the new options, we made sure durations behave consistently: KPI cards, tables, and app lists all show the same minute values regardless of format, the AI Adoption Report respects your selected format, and table exports keep a spreadsheet-friendly duration format so values can be summed and converted in Google Sheets or Excel.
📘 Full July Change Log
In addition to the highlights above, July included a range of smaller improvements and fixes across the platform, including reliable Outlook and Google Calendar syncs, employee search on the HRIS matching screen, manual time entries for dates older than three months, employee team and org group details in page headers, employee emails in project and task exports, updated Spanish translations for time off, and faster performance in search-heavy views.
