See How AI Is Being Adopted, a New Personalized Homepage, and Smarter Attendance & Time Off Tracking

This month's updates focus on giving you visibility into how AI tools are being adopted across your organization, a new personalized Home Page that puts your most important metrics front and center, and stronger attendance and time-off management.


📊 AI Adoption Report

Now available to all customers and included on every plan for a limited time, the new AI Adoption Report gives managers and admins a clear view of how AI tools are being adopted across the organization, bringing key usage signals into one place so you can gauge adoption health and spot trends.

Adoption health at a glance

See Daily AI Users and Daily AI Hours with period-over-period changes, alongside a 30-day trend line that shows whether AI usage is gaining momentum or slowing down.

Adoption maturity matrix and cross-tool comparison

Teams are grouped into categories such as Champions, Regulars, Deep Divers, and Dabblers, making it easy to identify strong adopters and teams that may need coaching. A cross-tool comparison table highlights overlapping tool usage and adoption gaps, so leaders can see which tools drive value and where spend may need review.

Configurable and role-aware

Admins and managers can control which apps count as AI tools, and role-based visibility means admins see organization-wide data while managers stay focused on their teams. Later in the month we added minimum usage thresholds (adjustable from 1 to 60 minutes) to keep brief, incidental activity from inflating adoption metrics, grouped related apps and websites for a clearer picture, and expanded the Adoption chart to display more than 10 teams at once.


🏠 Customizable Homepage Dashboard

Insightful now opens to a redesigned Homepage: a personalized landing page that gives managers and admins an at-a-glance view of workforce performance. Each user can build a customizable dashboard around the metrics that matter most to them, and your existing personalized layouts are preserved.

A full widget library

Choose from KPIs, Utilization Trend, Top Performers, Needs Attention, Utilization Trend by Location, Schedule Adherence, Real-Time Insights, Most Used Apps and Websites, and Top Categories, and arrange and save your own layout.

AI Adoption on your Home Page

A summary of the AI Adoption Report now appears as a Homepage widget, so you can track AI adoption across the organization or specific teams without leaving your dashboard. The Homepage is now the default landing page across Insightful, and the Productivity Trends view now lives under Reports.


🌴 Custom Time Off Types and Time Off Improvements

Administrators can now create and manage their own time-off types directly in Insightful, going beyond the standard set so time off reflects how your organization actually operates.

We also refined the surrounding workflows: improved Time Off filters and a cleaner Add Time Off menu make it faster to find and record time off (including your custom types), and you can now create manual time entries directly from the Timeline view.


[Beta] 🔍 Irregular Behavior Alerts

A new Attendance alert flags when an employee uses apps designed to simulate activity, such as auto-clickers and mouse jigglers.

As of this announcement, this feature is rolling out in beta to a limited set of customers. If you are interested, reach out to your CSM or support@insightful.io.

  • Daily digest notifications — when irregular behavior is detected, you receive a single in-app notification each day at 8 AM in your organization's time zone.

  • Dedicated Logs view — open any alert to see the employee involved, what was detected, and a visual timeline that highlights the unusual activity in red, with related screenshots clearly marked so you can review them in context.


📘 Full June Change Log

In addition to the highlights above, June included a range of smaller improvements and fixes across the platform. HRIS synchronization became more reliable and accurate across Workday, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta, including better team mapping and correct handling of deactivated users. We also added team and org-group filters to the Employee page, refined Real-Time Insights (break duration at a glance and cleaner widget cards), fixed Email Report accuracy and delivery timing, and added protection against CSV formula injection.
