All of the below functions and features are available to Manager users in Insightful application, if the administrators of their company account have granted them the needed scope and permissions.
How to add employees
If your employees have not been added during the initial Insightful setup, or you have onboarded new employees, you can add them from the app’s Employees tab.
Depending on whether the employees are using company or personal computers you can either have Admins install the Insightful installation file on their devices or invite them via email to activate their accounts and do so themselves.
After your employees have finished their installation, you will be able to see them on your Insightful dashboard as their devices will start logging data to the app.
Shift Scheduling and Employee Timesheets
With Insightful you can effectively organize work time and shifts of your employees. The app provides you with detailed Employee Timesheets containing breakdowns of various time-related categories like work, idle, and break time. Timesheets enable managers to monitor employee productivity and activities accurately.
Understanding Employee Activities, Time and Attendance
Insightful offers several methods to manage the activities, time & attendance of your employees so you could choose the one that is right for your operation.
When it comes to customization, Insightful is incredibly powerful and flexible. The app’s advanced configuration options allow you to run multiple configurations in parallel and override settings at an individual employee level. To understand how to do this please review this article.
If your teams engage in non-computer-related tasks like meetings and phone calls, you can allow them to account for their productive time by entering it into the app manually. You can then review and approve such entries, or even add them for the employees yourself.
And if you need to stay informed of your team's attendance in real time, regardless of where they work, you can achieve that by setting up Attendance alerts. These include missed clock-in, absent days, break time and idle time alerts.
Insightful also provides you with an Attendance report that enables analyzing trends and patterns in your employees’ working hours.
Understanding Employee Productivity
Insightful offers a suite of features to help manage and optimize productivity. With employee data now available in your dashboard, you can categorize it using Insightful’s Productivity Labels: Every app or website users visit should be labeled as productive, neutral, or unproductive as considered by your business. These productivity labels are assigned for the entire Organization, but can be overridden on Team-level.
And if your team uses apps & websites that don't require constant mouse movements and keyboard strokes, such as video conference or telephony software, marking those apps and websites as Always active in the Activity settings can help you get more accurate data.
You can review productivity trends and timeline on individual or team level, understand the impact of employee working locations (remote or office), and even have real time insights into employee activities and productivity.
Reporting and Insights
Insightful is packed with reporting and helpful views to give you fast and easy insights into staff productivity and time and attendance. You can also choose to automatically receive productivity reports in your inbox.
Screen capturing and Privacy
To help you with process and compliance management as well as easier identification of bottlenecks and workflow inefficiencies, Insightful offers Screenshot capturing and Screen recording features. You can choose to disable those on specific apps or websites to reduce the amount of personal data captured.

Project and Task Management
If you want to go even further with your time analysis, Insightful Projects & Tasks allows you to associate time directly with specific projects/tasks that employees are working on.
